As vice president, Rush will continue in her role as director of the company’s Planning Department, which offers multi-modal land use, community design and transportation planning, Geographic Information Systems and consensus building services.
Rush, who joined Urban in 1999, has over 20 years of public and private sector planning experience in New York City, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware. A Certified Planner with the American Institute of Certified Planners, Rush holds a master’s degree in Urban Planning from Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture from Michigan State University.
As vice president, Buchek will continue in his role as regional manager for construction inspection and will also assist the firm’s New York, N.Y., Wilmington, Del. and Baltimore, Md. offices to secure new construction inspection work.
Buchek, who joined Urban in 1987, is a summa cum laude graduate of Widener University with a degree in information systems. He has over 20 years of experience in the engineering fields of construction management and inspection, critical path method scheduling, claims analysis, and the design and implementation of computer systems. He is a member of the Construction Management Association of America and serves on the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation/American Consulting Engineers Council of Pennsylvania Work Force Development Steering Committee.
