Each year the Philadelphia Business Journal publishes its ranking of engineering firms in the greater Philadelphia area, based on prior year local billing data provided by each firm.

This year Urban moved up from No. 6 to No. 4 in the rankings. Major Philadelphia area projects for Urban include the widening of the Pennsylvania Turnpike between Norristown and Valley Forge and between Norristown and Lansdale, the re-painting of the Benjamin Franklin Bridge and the extension of Runway 17-35 at Philadelphia International Airport, among others.
