Dennis K. Burgeson, PWS, Joins Urban Engineers, Inc.



Dennis K. Burgeson, PWS, has joined Urban Engineers, Inc. as manager of the firm's New Jersey environmental group. Based in Urban's Pennsauken, New Jersey office, Burgeson will be responsible for developing new environmental clients in the Mid-Atlantic states.

Burgeson, with over 25 years of experience in environmental science and project planning, holds a bachelor of science degree in resource management from Syracuse University and the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry.

A certified Professional Wetland Scientist, he is a member of the Society of Wetland Scientists and the American Society of Highway Engineers.

His skills run the gamut of environmental consulting activities, including environmental impact studies, environmental assessments, categorical exclusions, socioeconomic/land use technical studies, natural ecosystems technical studies, biological assessments, water quality studies, wetland functional assessments, secondary and cumulative effects analyses, Phase I hazardous waste screenings, and federal and state environmental permits. His permitting experience includes U.S. Coast Guard Bridge, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Section 404/10 permits, and New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection permits, including Freshwater Wetlands, Coastal Area Facility Review Act, Waterfront Development, Tidal Wetlands, Green Acres, and Pinelands.
