ASCE Honors Gupta

Lakshmi Gupta, Chief Geotechnical Engineer in Urban’s Erie, PA office, was recently honored by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) with the prestigious Lifetime Membership Award. The presentation was made during an ASCE Pittsburgh Section meeting.

The Lifetime Membership Award is given to individuals who have reached a milestone in ASCE membership. They have all been members over 30 years and have advanced through the membership grades to ASCE Fellow. Fellow status must be attained by professional accomplishments via application and election by the Membership Application Review Committee. It is an esteemed honor held by fewer than 6% of ASCE members.

Mr. Gupta has more than 40 years of geotechnical engineering experience, from site selection through final design and construction of airports, parking structures, industrial plants, office buildings, highways, power plants, dams, and tunnels. He joined Urban in 1976 and is a Pennsylvania-registered Professional Engineer.
