George Willis Promoted to Senior VP


Ed D’Alba has announced the promotion of George Willis to senior vice president. For the past 17 years, Willis has been vice president and manager of the firm’s Erie, Pa.-based affiliates, Urban Engineers of Erie, Inc. and John H. Robinson Testing, Inc.

Willis has 33 years of experience in all aspects of civil engineering for projects ranging from design and engineering of transportation facilities to water and wastewater distribution systems. His experience includes, surveying, traffic management, municipal engineering, and construction management of civil works projects A 1975 graduate of Clarkson University with a bachelor’s degree in civil and environmental engineering, Willis interned at Urban for a summer and joined Urban full-time after graduation. He was promoted to vice president in 1990 and named to run the Erie office in 1991

A registered professional engineer in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and New York, Willis is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, the National Society of Professional Engineers, and the Association of Soil and Foundation Engineers. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Franklin Section of the American Society of Highway Engineers and is president of the Erie Chapter of the Pennsylvania Society of Professional Engineers.
