Machmer named Geotechnical Practice Leader at Urban Engineers of Erie

Senior Vice President George H. Willis, PE has announced the promotion of David G. Machmer, PE to Geotechnical Practice Leader.  Machmer, who joined Urban in 1992, will be responsible for overall management of the geotechnical group including quality control, client liaison, and business development.

Machmer is a graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo where he earned a Master’s Degree in Geotechnical Engineering and a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering. 

A registered professional engineer in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and New York, Machmer has 16 years of professional experience.  He is 2^nd vice president of the local chapter of the Construction Specifications Institute, a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, the American Society of Highway Engineers, and the Best People on Earth (formerly the Associated Soil and Foundation Engineers).
