Urban Helps Put a Smile on Kids' Faces

Once again, Urban Engineers’ Accounting Department sponsored the annual holiday "Toys for Kids" program at Urban’s Philadelphia headquarters.

Urbanites donated new unwrapped toys for children who would otherwise not receive them. Donation boxes were located on each Urban floor. Accounting personnel then gathered the gifts and transported them to the KYW, Channel 3 studios for distribution.

According to the “elves” in Accounting, this year’s collection of gifts was the largest in memory.

Toys for Kids is one of many events that gives the staff the opportunity to contribute to the community. Other community activities include Food Drives, the United Cerebral Palsy of Philadelphia & Vicinity Corporate Run/Walk, Red Cross Blood Drives, and the Future City Competition for seventh and eighth grade students interested in the engineering profession.
