Award-Winning Café

The Philadelphia Chapter of the American Institute of Architects 2008 Awards for Excellence includes the Independence Mall Café.

Urban’s MEP Division, Marvin Waxman Consulting Engineers, served as the mechanical and electrical engineer for Erdy McHenry Architecture, LLC.

Located on the 4th Street side of Philadelphia’s Independence Mall, across from the Independence Visitor’s Center, the café employs passive cooling through the use of operable, seamless glass panels.
