Marlton Circle Elimination Breaks Ground

Officials gathered in Evesham, New Jersey to celebrate the start of construction of the Marlton Circle Elimination Project.  Designed by Urban Engineers in cooperation with the New Jersey Department of Transportation, the $63 million project should be completed by the winter of 2011.

Urban’s design features an overpass that will take Route 73 over Route 70.  This should help improve traffic flow and reduce the number of crashes that now occur at the Circle, which is used by some 100,000 vehicles per day.

On hand for the ceremony were New Jersey Governor Jon Corzine, Evesham Mayor Randy Brown, Deputy Mayor John McKenna, Burlington County Freeholder Chris Brown, and Transportation Commissioner Stephen Dilts.  Urban Engineers was represented by Project Manager Steve Locke and Project Engineer Bill Patton.
