Urban of New York wins CI Contract

Urban Engineers of New York (Buffalo Office) has been awarded a Construction Inspection Term Agreement with the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT). The actual project has not been identified for this $15 million contract, but will most likely be roadway resurfacing within the four counties that comprise NYSDOT Region 5.

Contract award was contingent upon the passage of the federal economic stimulus package, the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

Facing a budget crisis, New York State had applied the brakes on funding for a majority of road and bridge work. With passage of the Act, NYSDOT issued the contract.
