Urban's Daughters and Sons Come to Work

Urban is proud to again have hosted a dozen children who participated in the annual Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day program in our Philadelphia headquarters and Erie offices.

The purpose of this program is to show boys and girls, ages 6 to 13, what a parent or mentor in their lives does during the course of a work day. More than just a career day, the program shows the girls and boys the value of their education, helps them discover the power and possibilities associated with a balanced work and family life, and begins steps towards achieving their goals.

The 12 children who participated in the program this year met for breakfast and lunch, toured their respective offices, met with Urban's President Edward M. D’Alba, PE, created their own business cards, and shadowed their parent or mentor.

This has been a successful program at Urban for years.
