Urban Awarded Construction Oversight Contract for Connecticut Housing Project

Urban Engineers’ Hartford office was recently selected to provide construction oversight services for a new 95-unit apartment complex by the 58 Progressive Drive Limited Partnership.

Located on Progress Drive in Stamford, CT, the project will consist of approximately 121,000 square feet of enclosed space and site development of a 4.39-acre site. Construction is expected to take approximately 14-20 months.

Urban has provided field monitoring services for similar developments in the Stamford area, including the Fairfield Court, Post House, and Taylor Street Apartments. Acting as the Clerk of the Works for this project, Urban will be responsible for monitoring contractors for effectiveness of quality control programs, satisfactory performance of work, and compliance with contract documents and project submissions. Urban will also document construction activities on a daily basis, including type and location of work being performed, work force for contractors and subcontractors, weather and site conditions, material deliveries, and additional information and directives given to the contractor by the owner.
