Hewton is New Project Manager at Urban

Robert Hewton, a Project Manager with more than 25 years of experience, has joined Urban Engineers’ Philadelphia office in the Construction and Program Management Practice.

A graduate of the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geology (concentration in Civil Engineering), Hewton has worked for several Philadelphia-area contractors and consulting engineering firms during his career.

Hewton is NICET Level IV-certified in highway construction, NICET Level III- certified in geotechnical engineering, and holds HAZMAT and various certifications.

Hewton has significant airport-related construction experience, having participated in numerous projects at Philadelphia International Airport. Additionally, he has managed large highway and bridge assignments as a consultant for the New Jersey Turnpike Authority and the Port Authority of NY/NJ, where he supervised inspection staff and oversaw contractor and subcontractor activities.
