Urban Runs for Clean Air

The 29th Annual 5K Run for Clean Air and Earth Day Celebration took place in Philadelphia recently, and Urban Engineers was a proud sponsor.  The firm fielded a team of six runners, including organizer Jon Miller and teammates Helene Brennan, Peter Yilanjian, Nemanja Milosavljevic, Adam Shelly and Bruce Wagner.

The out-and-back course was run in near perfect weather, starting at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and running along Martin Luther King Drive.  The overall winner of the event crossed the line in 16:20, while Milosavljevic was the first Urbanite to complete the 3.1-mile distance.

The 5K Run for Clean Air was presented by the Clean Air Council, a member-supported, non-profit environmental organization.  This year, the Run for Clean Air pledged to make this event zero-waste, using paperless registration, organic materials and recyclable timing chips.
