Urban Runs for UCP Once Again |
For the 16th consecutive year, Urban’s athletes joined other runners and walkers at the Philadelphia Museum of Art for the 2010 edition of the United Cerebral Palsy (UCP) 5K Corporate Run/Walk. The enthusiastic crowd of about 900 runners brushed aside early rain to test their mettle on the 3.1-mile course along Martin Luther King Drive.
Urban has fielded a team for this event for 16 straight years. Recruited and organized by Charlotte P. Hinton, 18 Urban runners and walkers went to the starting line. Crossing the finish line first for Urban was Lawrence J. Mussio (Highways Practice), who placed 10th overall in a strong field.
UCP of Philadelphia & Vicinity works to help children and adults with disabilities live as independently as possible, while providing families with the information and tools needed to support loved ones in the community.
