Fairfield Court Apartments Get Rave Reviews

Urban Engineers (Urban) is pleased to be a part of the Fairfield Court Apartments Project, a mixed-income housing development in Stamford, CT.  Charter Oak Communities, Stamford’s housing authority, managed the development of the project.

The project was recently featured in the Stamford Advocate, where residents gave high praise for the new facilities, noting the appliances, the architectural and landscape enhancements, and security of the housing complex.

Urban provided a Clerk of the Works, an inspector, and the periodic services of a scheduler for this project, which involved the demolition of seven existing buildings, construction of 16 apartment buildings consisting of 90 apartment units, and construction of a community center.

Urban's responsibilities included monitoring contractors for effectiveness of quality control programs, satisfactory performance of work, and compliance with the contract documents and project submissions.  Urban also documented construction activities on a daily basis, including type and location of work being performed, work force for contractors and subcontractors, weather and site conditions, material deliveries, and additional information and directives given to the contractor by the owner.
