Urban's Wagner Named ASCE YMF President


Michael G. Wagner, PE, a structural engineer in Urban’s Philadelphia Bridge Services Department, has been named President of the Younger Members Forum (YMF) of the Philadelphia Chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).  He has served on the YMF board for six years and has held various positions.

The objectives of the YMF, which is composed of ASCE members who are ages 35 and under, are to:

1)  Provide networking opportunities for younger members;
2)  Interact with schools and the general public to promote civil engineering; and
3)  Enhance career development for younger members

A graduate of the University of Hartford with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Drexel University, Wagner joined Urban in 2001.  During his career at Urban, he has handled structural design for highway and bridge projects for the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission and Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, rail projects for New Jersey Transit and Norfolk Southern, marine engineering and airport assignments.
