Donald J. Smith Lauded for Education Efforts

Urban’s Donald J. Smith, P.E., Vice President in the Buffalo office of Urban Engineers of New York, PC, has been named recipient of the 2010 Donald C. Stone Award for Excellence in Education.

This award was presented at the annual awards dinner of the Western New York Chapter of the American Public Works Association. The award is named for the founder of the association.

The Donald C. Stone award recognizes outstanding and meritorious achievement of individuals assisting in the areas of continuing and graduate professional education for public works professionals.

Mr. Smith was nominated for his award by Chapter Director Kevin O’Brien, Commissioner of Public Works for Niagara County.
