Responsibilities: This position will be responsible for managing and overseeing a team of professionals in providing Construction Engineering & Inspection (CE&I) services for heavy highway and bridge projects for the Connecticut Department of Transportation (ConnDOT). This individual will be responsible for implementing ConnDOT procedures and protocols as required to perform field quality control inspections, monitor and document contractor performance, project schedule and budget; coordinate with design professionals, determine, document and manage required code related inspections; monitor and review the submittal process, compliance of documents, and overall coordination with ConnDOT. The RE will review and recommend approval of contractor requests for payment, prepare daily inspection reports and weekly project reports, participate in dispute resolution process, and project closeout documentation.   

The ideal candidate must have a BS in Civil Engineering or a related field and a Professional Engineering license in CT. Candidate must have at least 12 years in construction inspection and at least 6 years in a similar supervisory role. Experience with ConnDOT, Primavera scheduling, and CT state agencies is preferred. Candidate must possess excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills.
